How It All Began

Greg has had a wealth of experience in the industry beginning back in the early 90s. He identified a gap in the business where customers searching for services online were missing out and the idea of Stagemechanics was born. The company has successfully grown since then to cover a large range of products in the market at a high standard.

At Stagemechanics all stage and studio track as well as pre-wired lighting bars, truss track and drapes are completely manufactured in-house in Auckland, New Zealand

Our ‘Moving Track System’ is the ultimate answer to complete flexibility on most Stages, specifically School and community Theatres, where a Fly systems can not be fitted. Window tracks throughout the Auditoriums can also be motorised to gain extra flexibility.

We also supply to retail and trade outlets around the country and to the TV and film industry, studio/stage tracking, drapes, cyclorama and Digital Green and Blue screens.

Selecon Reid was taken over by Stagemechanics in its entirety .

Sadly Walter passed away suddenly. Walter’s family approached Greg about the interim continuation of the business.
